Loaves and Fishes Family
Almost all the fresh food provided to our clients by Loaves and Fishes is “rescued” through our corporate partnerships. Coordinated through Feeding San Diego, the local component of Feeding America, Loaves and Fishes rescues fresh produce, meat, dairy products, prepared salads, sandwiches, bread, and other groceries which would have otherwise been thrown out. Loaves and Fishes receives weekly donations from Target on Newport in Ocean Beach, Gelson’s Market on Turquoise in Pacific Beach, and Grocery Outlet on West Point Loma Blvd. Without the help of these fine stores, we wouldn’t be able to accommodate the hundreds of folks we serve each week.
