| Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry is a non-profit organization, responding to food insecurity in our community. You are invited…Loaves and Fishes continues its commitment to feeding our food‑insecure neighbors across San Diego. The reality of reducing hunger is that it costs money. Everything we accomplished this year was made possible by people like you — volunteers, donors, church partners, corporate partners, and neighbors who care deeply about those facing hunger. As a way to help meet the needs in our community, we are delighted to invite you to support our October fundraiser: Wine Tasting Thursday, Oct 22nd, 5-7pm, All Souls Episcopal Church 1475 Catalina Blvd Gooden Hall, San Diego, CA 92107 Join us as we sample over 70 wines from dozens of wineries! The event will be held at All Souls Episcopal Church, 1475 Catalina Blvd Gooden Hall in San Diego. A $30 donation per person is required to attend. 100% of all tasting fee donations benefit Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry. The wines tasted will be offered at special one day only pricing for those wishing to place orders. Jensen’s will be providing chef-prepared appetizers. Tickets are available for purchase online or in the store. Jensensfoods.com/winetasting This event is very popular, please buy your tickets early before they sell out. Serving Our Neighbors With Dignity and Care… with a little help from our friends Your prayers, your financial support, and your hands‑on help have sustained Loaves and Fishes for years. They continue to sustain us now. Loaves and Fishes relies on a diverse and resilient network of food sources to meet growing demand and we rely on a diverse and wonderful group of volunteers. Folks from the organization, Love Does, help deliver food to us from the Food Bank. These amazing guys are Marcus (left) and Nate (rt). Sometimes joined by Wesley. We are grateful as well to Teresa Miles, who is a retired teacher living in the area. Once or twice a month, on Mondays, she brings 4-5 trays of cooked, roasted whole chickens from Costco. It’s a wonderful treat for our clients, and we are very appreciative.
